Active ingredient
Azoxystrobin
Strobilurin (QoI, FRAC 11)
A systemic fungicide that interrupts fungal respiration, sold to homeowners mostly as a granular.
What it does
Covers an unusually long disease list โ one label we read names nineteen, including brown patch, large patch, gray leaf spot, red thread, snow mold and take-all patch โ with a longer interval between applications than the alternative.
What it does not do
It does essentially nothing to dollar spot. Virginia Tech's turfgrass pathologist states that directly, and the label we read confirms it by omission: the word 'dollar' appears nowhere on it. Coin-sized straw spots need the other chemistry.
The label constraint people miss
Repeating one fungicide class selects for the strains that survive it. NC State's instruction on the disease most prone to that is to rotate among fungicide classes after each application, which means owning a second active rather than a second bottle of this one.
Products we review that contain it
Every product below is here because we opened its label โ on EPA's own database or the registrant's โ and read Azoxystrobin in the ingredient statement. Registration numbers are on each product's page.

Systemic DMI fungicide concentrate (Group 3)
Atticus Gravex 20 EW Fungicide, 16 oz
โ โ โ โ โ (4/5)
A straight myclobutanil concentrate whose label actually carries residential turf โ and which is NOT a rotation partner for the propiconazole most homeowners already own.

Combination granular fungicide (Group 11 + Group 3)
Quali-Pro Strobe Pro G Granular Fungicide, 30 lb
โ โ โ โโ (3/5)
Both actives from our fungicide comparison in one bag โ which is convenient, and which the label itself warns is not a resistance strategy.

Guides that use Azoxystrobin
Buy for the active, then read the label anyway. Two products with the same active are not interchangeable โ concentration, labelled sites and species tolerances all vary, and a three-part registration number means a narrowed label. How to read one in two minutes. Where our page and your container disagree, the container is the legal authority.
