Chemically identical in behaviour to the 32 oz bottles and bought for a different reason: area. Glufosinate's genuine niche is glyphosate-resistant weed populations, where a different mode of action is the point, and at 2.5 gallons the cost per acre is far below quart-sized alternatives. What does not change with volume is NC State's finding that it does not translocate to the roots of treated plants — so on perennials this is a burndown that will need repeating, not a kill. Buy it if you are treating acres of annual weeds or working around resistance; do not buy it expecting it to replace glyphosate on established perennials.
