Mammotion LUBA 3 AWD 5000H Robotic Mower Review

Our Verdict

This is the machine the LUBA 3 AWD 3000H should have been from the start: the same Tri-Fusion navigation (360-degree LiDAR over NetRTK and AI vision), the same 80% AWD and the same 2.2"–4.0" high-cut deck — at 1.25 acres of coverage instead of 0.75, for money in the same class. That makes the 3000H's already narrow value case narrower still; the smaller sibling now only makes sense at a meaningful discount. Against the LUBA 2 AWD 5000HX the coverage is equal and the price is close, so the question reduces to one thing: is your lawn cluttered or tree-shaded enough that LiDAR earns its premium? Under open sky, RTK alone has been enough for years; under dense canopy or among play equipment, the LiDAR case is real. The 4.0-inch ceiling covers UF/IFAS's 2.5"–4" St. Augustine range, and higher-cut zoysia sits comfortably inside it too. Honest limits: the 2.2-inch floor rules out close-cut bermuda — that job belongs to the standard-deck LUBA 3 5000 — Mammotion publishes no area rate for this variant (the 5,400 sq ft/hr figure is printed on the standard 5000's listing, not this one), so our simulator runs it at a labelled presentation pace, and charge time and area-per-charge are unpublished, so there is no honest battery gauge. And it is new, with a thin review base for a four-figure machine.
