Our Verdict
Rated on what it is rather than what people hope it is. As a generic 41% glyphosate concentrate it is honest, economical and effective: it moves systemically to the root, so it finishes perennials that contact burndowns only singe. It is also completely non-selective. It has no place on a lawn you intend to keep, and the four-star rating reflects hardscape and renovation use — killing off an old lawn before reseeding, clearing gravel, fence lines and bed edges. If you want weeds gone but grass kept, this is the wrong shelf entirely; you want a selective broadleaf product.

- Systemic — reaches the root, so perennial weeds do not regrow the way they do after a burndown
- Far cheaper per treated area than any ready-to-use bottle
- The standard tool for a full lawn kill-off before reseeding or sodding
- No soil residual, so you can replant the area after the label interval
⚠️ Cons
- Non-selective — it kills turfgrass exactly as readily as the weed
- Requires measuring and mixing; there is no ready-to-use convenience here
- Nothing in the bottle prevents next season's germination
- Drift onto desirable plants is the most common way people damage their own landscape with it

Registered as 'Gly-4 Plus Herbicide' with 'Compare-N-Save 41% Glyphosate Grass & Weed Killer' as an alternate brand name — the shelf name and the registered name differ, which is normal for this product and worth knowing when checking it. Glyphosate isopropylamine salt 41.0%. Two entries in the weed table matter for our guides: POISON IVY / POISON OAK at 4-5 qt/acre or a 2% hand-held solution, noted 'For control. Repeat applications may be required to maintain control. Fall treatments must be applied before leaves lose green color'; and KUDZU at 4 qt/acre or 2%, 'For control. Repeat applications may be required.' Blackberry and honeysuckle are also on it.
